New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says the next step in its recovery is bringing back tourism.

He announced the city is launching a $30 million tourism marketing campaign.”

to bring back the tourists and to bring back all that they do to invest in this city and bring back the jobs.”

The mayor says that he expects around 400,000 jobs to come to the city due to the effort.

According to de Blasio, this is the largest tourism campaign in the history of the city. Most of the money will go toward hotels, restaurants, taxis, the arts, entertainment, and more.
