Everyone named James — whether the name is first or last — has an additional reason to visit New York City this year. The James New York-NoMad is celebrating its fourth anniversary by offering 40% off stays of four nights or more to guests carrying its name.
As one of the most popular names in America, the hotel may now experience a wave of Jameses occupying its 360 rooms throughout the year.
Jameses interested in taking advantage of the deal have until June 30 to book a room, which can be reserved through the end of the year. The offer is limited to 10 rooms per night.
The hotel, however, does not allow any sneaky changes to bookings. To check-in, you will need proof of government-issued ID. To make reservations through the offer, you must either be a James or be joined by one.
Though this will be the fourth anniversary of James New York – NoMad, the hotel has existed for decades. The hotel was built in 1904 as Hotel Seville. In 1987, it changed its name to Carlton Hotel. It only received its current flagship in 2018, when its newly renovated space was revealed.
The hotel sits on the corner of 29th Street and Madison Avenue, near Madison Square Park and the Flatiron District — an area that hosts many bars and restaurants.
The hotel is known for its innovative services. Among them are astrological birth chart readings, tarot readings, transformational coaching, in-room hair and makeup, Reiki healing, hypnosis, and sound therapy.
