There is now a third Hyatt Hotels property in Morocco – the Hyatt Regency Taghazout. The hotel is located in Morocco’s small fishing village of the same name, near the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
The hotel has 190 guestrooms, including 12 standard suites, 10 terrace suites, and six executive terrace suites. Most rooms offer a view of the ocean, as well.
The Hyatt Taghazout offers a variety of restaurants, including Citron Brule, which serves a blend of Moroccan and international cuisines. The hotel also features Sud, Km17, which serves French and Italian Cuisine, and La Vie en Blue, an energetic pool bar.
“We are excited to welcome guests to the peaceful village of Taghazout. Bordered by the ocean and bathed in the year-round sun”, said general manager Pascal Leprou. “We are proud to introduce the Hyatt Regency brand into a new market.
“The hotel has been thoughtfully designed to create spaces where guests can recharge and connect while enjoying dynamic interactions.”
It’s the second Hyatt Regency in the country after the Hyatt Regency Casablanca, and the second Hyatt branded hotel in Taghazout after Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay. Hyatt is in the process of building a Park Hyatt Marrakech, which would be a further extension of its footprint in Morocco.
From today, citizens, as well as foreigners, will be able to reenter Morocco. It is hoped that the reopening will revive the country’s struggling tourism sector.
GM Marcel Thoma of Mandarin Oriental Marrakech has previously shared his belief that many people have misconceptions about Morocco. During his speech, he encouraged more people to come together to support its vibrant hospitality sector.
