A new arrival in Calgary
Calgary’s newest boutique property, The Westley Hotel, has opened in the downtown Eau Claire neighbourhood following Frank’s transformation of an existing five-storey property.
There are 104 guestrooms at The Westley Hotel and a contemporary Mexican restaurant concept by Thank You Hospitality, Fonda Fora.
Ideally suited for leisure and business travellers, the hotel opens just in time for summer travel and the Calgary Stampede.
“This is an exciting day for the hospitality industry,” said Ian L Jones, general manager of The Westley Hotel. “What better way to announce the return and rebuild of hospitality and tourism in Calgary. With the talented Fonda Fora team, we are delighted to welcome guests and deliver exceptional experiences.”
Our team is proud to present Calgary with our latest concept and to celebrate more of the diverse culinary traditions of Mexico,” added Cody Willis, founder of Thank You Hospitality. As important as our high-quality food and beverages are our great atmosphere. As a result of our strong partnership with The Westley Hotel, we can deliver exactly that.”
The five-story hotel occupies a former office building, which has been renovated by Calgary’s Frank Design. There is a modern, vintage aesthetic running throughout each of the 104 guestrooms, adding a nod to the hotel’s ’70s roots.
From the vibrant lobby of the Westley Hotel, visitors can enter Thank You Hospitality’s Fonda Fora restaurant concept, which features a living dining area and open kitchen. Here, guests can dine on the Mexican-inspired dishes of Yucatán-raised chef Rafael Castillo.
