Uplift, Southwest Airlines Partner to Enable Customers to Pay for Flights in Instalments

The US-based buy-now-pay-later provider Uplift has partnered with Southwest Airlines to facilitate the payment of flights in instalments.

With Uplift as a BNPL payment option, Southwest customers can book trips and spread the cost over a series of month-to-month payments. Uplift was integrated into the Southwest.com booking process to offer a frictionless customer experience. At the time of booking, customers will see the total price of their trip along with the monthly payment amount.

Southwest Airlines joins Uplift’s 15 other airline partners as the latest airline to become an Uplift partner. The Uplift already had a partnership with Southwest Vacations and is now expanding this relationship by taking advantage of existing payment rails, which are already in place with Universal Air Travel Plan (UTAP), an airline payment solution allows global payments. By partnering with UATP, Uplift enables payment settlement with BNPL options for Southwest flights.
