This June, a new low-cost airline will launch at Stansted Airport, with tickets starting at £30.

Play, an Iceland-based company, has released its first set of holiday tickets for seven European destinations, including Spain and France.

From London Stansted, Play will operate an inaugural flight to Reykjavik, Iceland on June 24 with the cheapest tickets available for only £30.

Iceland is among the destinations on the UK’s travel green list, meaning that visitors can return home without having to undergo quarantine.

With a flight time of three hours, Play promises that UK travellers can have an unforgettable experience in Scandinavia.

In any case, Iceland only accepts travellers who have had full vaccination against Covid or are Icelandic residents, reports say.

THE PLAY CEO, Birgir Jónsson, stated, “The opportunity to open Iceland up to UK travellers and offer competitive fares is brilliant now that international travel is once again possible.”.

Iceland is well known to the UK market, but the destination has changed somewhat in recent times due to the (minor) volcanic eruptions in the Reykjanes peninsula.
