For the 8th time, Emirates wins the Best Airline Worldwide award and three more honours at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2021.
Emirates has been voted ‘Best Airline Worldwide’ for the eighth consecutive time by the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2021. The airline also took home accolades for ‘Airline with the Best First Class’, and ‘Airline with Best Economy Class’.
These awards showcase Emirates’ strategy to consistently improve the customer experience both onboard and on the ground. Emirates aims to provide a safe journey at all touchpoints and ensure that it meets changing customer expectations during what has been an extremely challenging period for the industry.
Emirates continues to work with industry and government bodies to standardise records for Covid-19 related medical information such as vaccine records and PCR test results in an effort to simplify travel and minimize restrictions. In April, Emirates began trialling the IATA Travel Pass, which will be rolled out to all flights by the end of May. Emirates has also partnered with the Dubai Health Authority for digital verification of Covid-19 related medical records, enabling a seamless, paperless experience for customers.
The airline was the first in the industry to offer free Covid-19 cover to help customers travel with more confidence. Customers and industry members appreciated the initiative, which many airlines followed. In addition, Emirates offers multi-risk travel insurance and COVID-19 coverage, an industry first. Emirates offers this generous coverage to all customers at no cost. In addition to the COVID-19 medical coverage, the policy also covers personal accidents while travelling, winter sports, loss of personal belongings, and trip disruptions due to unexpected air space closures, travel advisories, and other circumstances.
Business Traveller Middle East Awards are dedicated to business travel, covering every aspect of the industry, from airlines, airports, hotels, to loyalty programs. The awards were presented virtually and hundreds of professionals from around the region attended. A panel of travel experts, the magazine’s editorial team, and readers weigh in to determine which companies are shortlisted.
