In an effort to curb recent operational challenges at Nigerian airports, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced that it has begun installing check-in and screening equipment at Murtala Muhammed Airport and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport respectively.
In a statement signed by the signed by its General manager Public Affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu appealed to airlines, passengers and other stakeholders that to bear with it as it installs the equipment.

The statement added that 15 new security screening systems have been acquired for immediate deployment at General Aviation Terminal and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. They have also been installed already.
“The Authority is using this opportunity to appeal to all stakeholders to please bear with us while the installation would last, as all hands are on deck to ensure speedy completion of the project”, she said.
