Alaska Airlines threatens suspension for mask violators

Alaska Airlines is strengthening enforcement of its facial covering requirement for passengers, with noncompliant passengers facing a potential ban from future flights.

The carrier has given flight attendants authority to issue “final notice” yellow cards to passengers who repeatedly refuse to wear a facial covering, at which point “the guest’s travel will be reviewed and could be suspended for a period,” according to Alaska Airlines.

Alaska was among the U.S. carriers in June that agreed to take a harder line on the requirement.
